LCD Projector Reviews at Tv.TopTenReviews.Com
If you are looking to purchase a DLP, LCOS or LCD projector this year, there are a few things you should know before making any final decisions. Projectors are quite a bit different than the standard TV you put in your living room.
Factors such as brightness level, throw distance and lamp life are all things that can make or break your experience with a projector.
Purchasing a projector is quite an investment, so knowing what you plan to use the projector for is your first step in the process. A home theater projector is going to require less lumens (brightness level), whereas a presentation projector will need a much higher lumens level.

HD Projectors Review - Epson EMP-TW700 at TrustedReviews.Com
The TW700 is based on Epson’s 3LCD technology, which stands as the main rival to Texas Instruments DLP. Light from the lamp is shone though three separate high-temperature polysilicon LCD panels, a red, green, and blue, and the image then recombined before being projected outwards by the lens. There’s a cool animation of this affect on the Epson website.
Epson claims that 3LCD gives a better image than DLP, as each colour is present the whole time in the image, as opposed to DLP, which uses tiny rotating mirrors into fooling the eye that the colours are always there, leaving it susceptible to the ‘rainbow’ image that some users claim to see. I think of it as the difference between a progressive and an interlaced image, but in terms of colour.
TrustedReviews says
For the money the Epson’s delivers an awful lot – offering HD resolution and an HDMI port as well as component. It’s also very easy to set up and delivers smooth, detailed pictures. However, it needs a dark environment to get the best from it and even then colours are touch muted. Still, you’d be hard pressed to find better for the money.

Home Theater Projectors - Get the Right Fit for Your Home Theater
Home theater projectors are one of the leading products on the market right now for people who are setting up their home theater. There are so many different models and styles of projection machines to choose from and they definitely make a better addition to a home theater than any big screen TV that you can buy. Three main types of projectors exist for home theater use and the exact one that you choose is going to depend on your specific needs and wants for your new entertainment space.
LCD projectors are popular because they have sharp colors and bright images. These projectors are designed to best fit in auditoriums or dimly-lit rooms where the lights can shine to the fullest of their capability. DLP projectors are another model, and these have been around for a bit longer than LCD models. They are lighter than LCD home theater projectors and they have smooth performance, high contrast, and very little pixilation issues. This makes them ideal for home theater use in any scenario. The third type of projector is a 3LCD projector, which uses 3 LCDs instead of one to create the unique colors and definition that are of a higher quality than standard LCD.

InFocus Projectors for Your Home Theater
InFocus projectors have been around for many years, and they are a leader in the industry. The thing that sets this brand apart from the others that manufacture projectors is that they only make projectors. They don't worry about other electronics and they didn't get their start making something else. They have always been, and continue to be, a projector company. Therefore, if you are considering this brand for your purchase, you can generally consider them to be among the best projectors that you will find on the market.
Sony, Panasonic, and other popular projector companies all focus on electronics. They make televisions, stereos, and other consumer electronics as well as projectors. In fact, you can probably bet that many of the typical electronics manufacturers only got involved in manufacturing projectors because consumer demand was increasing in terms of home theater needs and other projector uses. This isn't to say that these companies don't create great products, but just that they aren't committed to only producing projectors and therefore a company that is focused only on projection might have better products because their resources are not spread out across the electronics industry.
